The name was borrowed from Pulp Fiction and Production weekly. It’s the name that the Pulp Character Mia Wallace used referring to a top-secret team of female agents.

From the sneak peek, Joker seems to have left Harley Quinn who is now trying to find her place in the world without him. Harley decides to team up with Black Canary, Huntress, Detective Renee Montoya and Cassandra Cain which is after Harley comes across a diamond piece that belongs to the infamous Black Mask. All hell breaks loose as the team takes chaos and Manheim to the next level.
Harley Quinn a.k.a Harleen Quinzel: Margot Robbie
Robbie, the spotlight stealer in Suicide Squad makes a return in this semi-spin of the movie. We don’t expect anything less from this amazing actress. In the beginning, before Harley fell in love with the joker, she was a psychiatrist who worked at Arkham Asylum. She later succumbs to the insanity that fuels the joker and becomes Harley Quinn.
Margot Robbie didn’t start her career playing as Harley Quinn. She has been in the industry for a couple of years and starred in different films including Queen Elizabeth I and once upon a time in Hollywood. On top of that, Robbie picked up an Oscar nomination for a film she produced known as Tonya.
That said, she is by the far the perfect choice to lead in her own film but at the same time, it speaks a lot about how Margot Robbie collaborates with others.

In this all-female supervillain film, Mary will be playing the Huntress who has different iterations in the DC comics. In the film, Helena is a former mafia princess and her parents were killed while she was a little girl. This forces her to turn into a vigilante which leads her to join the Birds of Prey. Huntress is known for her violent tactics while dealing with criminals and her use of a crossbow as the primary weapon.
Even though Huntress is not an original member of the Birds of prey, she has become an instrumental character and is one of the most recognized members of the team.
Renee Montoya played by Rosie Perez
Rosie will be in the cast as the Gotham Detective who is also known as Renee Montoya. It’s not yet clear how she fits into the Birds of Prey but that makes the film even more enticing. The big question is whether the film will stick to Renee Montoya's regular story or she will stick to being the police detective.
Other characters set to join the film include Batgirl, Black Mask and Victor Szasz.
