As seen in the first three versions of The Descendants, this movie is based around four Disney villains. Their future chronicles are seen in this movie as part of the main plot. The whole franchise of The Descendants is written as a musical fantasy rather than a series plot. Being a part of the Disney production, the sets have been enormous and spectacular throughout the series. 

This fourth part is a continuation of The Descendants 3 movie. In the beginning, Auradon prep is shown in the movie. It is a place like an academy where all the kids belonging to Disney’s villains and actors go through the same process. In short, it serves as a study center for the privileged kids. Previously, Auradon Prep was called Merlin Academy. 

As the movie starts, Uma who is the headmaster of Auradon Prep is seen inviting another kid to her school Auradon. The kid whom Uma is inviting belongs to another Disney villain family. The kid is named Red in the series. Red belongs to another world known as Wonderland. Red is shown as an evil daughter of the Disney character Queen of Hearts. 

As Red has the longest rebellion against Auradon, she accepts the invitation of Uma with bad intentions. The character of China Anne McClain is seen as Uma in the whole series of The Descendants. She belongs to the main descendants family of the series. She is the daughter of Disney's former character Ursula. Her mother Ursula used to be the sea witch of the Disney fantasy world. Being a witch's daughter, Uma’s character is also full of fierceness and empowerment. In the upcoming film, Uma is seen as the new head of the Auradon prep academy.
